- 1961 November, “Talking of Trains: The North Eastern's new rail-mounted piling unit”, in Trains Illustrated, page 646:
- The whole unit is rotated through 90deg to a position at right angles to the wagon and the three parts of the piling frame are unfolded from the straight line form into which they are packed for travelling to the triangular form in which they are set up for piling.
