1. (geography) The opposite pole.
   • 2000, Leslie P. Steffe, Patrick W. Thompson, Radical Constructivism in Action‎^[1], page 128:

     For every point on a great circle its antipole is on the same great circle.

2. (geometry) A position directly opposite (possibly also used figuratively).

   A line drawn from a point on a circle to its antipole will cross through the center.
