Etymology

Internationalism; possibly borrowed from German Amphibologie, French amphibologie, or English amphibology.[1] Ultimately from Ancient Greek ἀμφιβολία (amphibolía) +‎ -o- +‎ -logia.[2] First attested in 1851.[3]
