allœopathy

  1. Obsolete form of allopathy.
    • 1877, W. H. Furness, The North American Journal of Homœopathy, Boericke & Tafel, Volume VIII, № II, Article XII, page 147:
For my own part, so absolute had my loss of faith in the old school become (although its leading men personally commanded my entire respect) that I felt that if every member of my family were to succumb under fatal diseases, in homœopathic hands, I should feel that I had done my best for them. There was no alternative, in my mind between allœopathy and homœopathy.
