From English agnostic. Either from Ancient Greek ἄγνωστος (ágnōstos, ignorant, not knowing) or from a- + Gnostic. Deriving (either way) from Ancient Greek ἀ- (a-, not) + γιγνώσκω (gignṓskō, I know).
