- A public address event that is traditionally spoken after a dinner, and meant to take an important topic and make greater sense of it through the use of humor that is relevant to the idea presented.
Usage notes
[edit]This type of speech is found at the collegiate level and is typically eight to ten minutes long. Major competitions featuring such speeches include: American Forensics Association (AFA), and National Forensics Association (NFA).
