Borrowed from Andalusian Arabic الدرهم (ad-dárham), from Arabic دِرْهَم (dirham, dirham), from Middle Persian 𐭦𐭥𐭦𐭭 (drahm), from Ancient Greek δραχμή (drakhmḗ, drachma). Doublet of dracma and dírham.
