- Do każdego roztworu służy osobny areometr: najpowszechniejsze są alkoholometry (do oznaczania mocy spirytusu) salinometry (do oznaczania zawartości soli), sacharymetry (do cukru), acydymetry (do kwasów), alktometry (do mleka) i in.
- A separate hydrometer is used for each solution: the most common are alcoholometers (for determining the strength of spirit), salinometers (for determining the salt content), saccharometers (for sugar), acidimeters (for acids), alctometers (for milk) and others.
