[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish آبدستخانه (abdesthane), from Persian آبدستخانه (âbdastxâne). By surface analysis, abdest + -hane. Compare Pashto اودس خانه (awdas xāna), Ushojo اَودس خانا (awdas xānā), Northern Kurdish avdestxane, Laz აბდეზხანა (abdezxana).
