Clarification

[edit]

@Metaknowledge, Andrew Sheedy, Xbony2: Could you please clarify in your support votes whether you support creating new redirects for non-existing entries, or only redirecting existing entries? --WikiTiki89 15:08, 17 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'm fine with creating new redirects for non-existing entries (I'm assuming you don't mean creating new redirects that redirect to non-existing entries, that would be silly). -Xbony2 (talk) 22:18, 17 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I don't really care about whether new redirects are created for non-existing entries, but I would lean towards support for doing both. Andrew Sheedy (talk) 23:26, 17 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Same as Andrew. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 23:52, 17 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
FWIW, when Wikitiki89 raised that issue in the vote page, I replied that I created the vote with the intention of creating new redirects from non-existing entries to existing entries, although the vote itself does not mention that explictly. For example, I'd like to redirect (HALFWIDTH HANGUL LETTER E) to (HANGUL LETTER E). The halfwidth one is currently a redlink. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 01:54, 18 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Metaknowledge, Andrew Sheedy, Xbony2: Sorry to bother you guys again, but I forgot to be explicit about one of the things I wanted clarified. Do you support the automated creation of redirects for all fullwidth/halfwidth characters that have a corresponding regular width entry? --WikiTiki89 14:54, 18 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

I don't oppose it, but I do think it's unnecessary. I'll leave it up to other people to decide if that's how they want to use their time... Andrew Sheedy (talk) 23:22, 18 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Sure ^^ -Xbony2 (talk) 23:33, 18 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
