I've rediscovered this page after it somehow managed to be removed from my watchlist..
Bogorm, where on earth do you get all these dialectalisms? :)
There are lots of pronouns and pronominal adjectives, and their inflected forms, that I'll deal with separately.. --Ivan Štambuk 16:40, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- Great that you took it upon yourself, because I cannot find out one or two of the words I added - if you meant лукијернар and галама as dialectal, these are from Miloš Crnjanski's Код хипербореjаца. Another nice words (hard to find in dictionaries) which I was about to add are госпоштина (ruling class ?) and љубазница (synonym of љубавница ?). Tell me more precisely which of the words are dialectal so that I refrain from using them if I turn up some day in Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro or BiH. As for veliti, I found it explained in Skok's dictionary, where he writes: velim (...) , ita., impf, samo u prezentu i u imperfektu vèljãh itd. U ukupnom hrv.-srp. infinitiv ne postoji (čakavski i hrv.-kajk.). (this verb is not præserved in Bulgarian except for повеля - order, command) When exactly is the infinitive used? Is on/ona hoće veliti a possible construction? The uſer hight Bogorm converſation 17:46, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- ljubaznica is indeed synonymous of ljubavnica, but that word is nowadays considered old-fashioned / archaic. Infinitive form *veliti does not exist, and I've lemmatized this defetive verb at velim like all the dictionaries do. *on(a) hoće veliti is not a valid construction: to express future you need to use some non-defective synonymous verb, e.g. reći or kazati. --Ivan Štambuk 20:03, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
merging scripts
[edit]I'll merge both of the script headers, it's pointless to have every word spelled twice on 2 different places. --Ivan Štambuk 01:40, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Bosnian language
[edit]Does this "Requested entries" page include the Bosnian language? 173.88.246.138 05:04, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, Bosnian is included under Serbo-Croatian (if necessary, with a "Bosnia" usage label). — surjection ⟨?⟩ 11:44, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
