Inappropriate warning?

[edit]

The warning "This page is linked to, whenever a protected page is edited. It should never be deleted again." seems to be directed at potential future deleters of the page and not to normal readers of the page. This is weird and unnecessary. (Besides, I don't think the warning is actually true: I don't see a link to Wiktionary:Protected page guidelines when I "try to edit" the Main Page, for example.) Please remove the warning. - dcljr (talk) 15:54, 18 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
