No spelling reform in Modern Bengali?

As far as I know, it is not true that Modern Bengali never had any spelling reform. In fact, Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar made some changes in the Bengali alphabet, including the removal of ৠ and ৡ and introduction of ড়, ঢ় and য়. Besides, there have been standardisations of the language across two language regulators, Bangla Academy (Bangladesh) and Paschimbanga Bangla Akademi (India).
