From Wiktionary, the free dictionary
  • I hereby nominate User:Beobach972 as a local English Wiktionary Administrator. Apparently been here for a whole year, seems to have gotten all the details within just a month or two. Tons of work, tons of cleanup only frustrated by the lack of a [delete] button.
  • Vote ends: 19:00, 30 April
  • Vote started by: DAVilla 18:03, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Acceptance: I accept the nomination. -- Beobach972 20:47, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Babel: en-4, de-3, fr-1, and, with the help of dictionaries, tiny bits of way too many other languages.
Timezone: I'll be spending at least the next few years in ET, which is UTC-5 during standard time and UTC-4 during daylight-saving time.
Email: supplied and authenticated, should be working.
IP/CU: if the community feel that it's necessary, I have no objection to being CheckUsered to ensure that I'm not a sockpuppet. It should be pointed out that I have also periodically used my brother's account, User:Vytautniks, because he doesn't, but I'll ensure that he abstains from this vote.

Out of interest, what is this IP/CU check? --Keene 17:07, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Are you asking what I included that note in my acceptance for, or what the result of the check was? (I included it because in light of some parting comments from him, we try to make sure that anybody appointed an admin is not a sockpuppet of User:Wonderfool/User:Dangherous — or anybody else, for that matter.) — Beobach972 01:41, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was just wondering why you mentioned the IP/CU check, but that's clear now - what "parting comments" are you talking about anyway? --Keene 21:37, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ehh... let me dig through the archive (it was on IRC, but it was mentioned on WT:BP somewhere) ... here. — Beobach972 21:58, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, my comments there from last year are hopefully overcome by his success at deleting Wikipedia's main page recently. Until next year, I hope. Who knows, maybe he'll stick to the bigger target, from now on. It would be kindof pathetic to revisit small sites, after snagging the big fish. --Connel MacKenzie 17:51, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
