Deleting Wikisaurus slash-more pages
[edit]- Voting on: Deleting Wikisaurus slash-more pages such as "Wikisaurus:penis/more", and doing away with the concept of slash-more pages in Wikisaurus altogether. Thus, overriding in part the vote Wiktionary:Votes/2006-10/Wikisaurus_semi-protection.
- Rationale: The slash-more pages are setup for completely non-regulated content, content that is completely exempt from CFI. Much of that content does not even pass the attestation criterion of CFI. Wikisaurus strives to be a professionally executed thesaurus, just like the whole of Wiktionary strives to be a professionally executed dictionary. For more discussion, see above all the Beer parlour one from September 2010.
- Note: There are the following slash-more pages in Wikisaurus right now: Wikisaurus:penis/more, Wikisaurus:sexual intercourse/more, Wikisaurus:breasts/more, Wikisaurus:prostitute/more, Wikisaurus:buttocks/more, Wikisaurus:anus/more, Wikisaurus:homosexual/more, Wikisaurus:masturbate/more, and Wikisaurus:vagina/more; these are 9 pages. A user interested in the content of the slash-more pages may request that the pages are moved to his user space, such as "User:Joe Keeper/Wikisaurus penis/more", or whatever the user requests.

- Support. Yeah, get rid of all of these. Relegating them to such a page diminishes the incentive for users who really want to include such terms from going out and finding actual CFI-worthy citations (or from discovering that there are none). bd2412 T 18:53, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

- Support – verifiable content can be included in main space/Wikisaurus, while unverifiable content can go to other websites, such as Urban Dictionary. Slang/sexual pages attract more attention and require more tending, but fit into our existing process. —Nils von Barth (nbarth) (talk) 19:22, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
