About

[edit]

Southern Mansi was a Uralic language, one of the three languages in the Mansi branch of the Ob-Ugric family. It included several subdialectal versions of the Tavda [T] dialect.

Orthography

[edit]

It did not have any preserved writing in the Cyrillic script. But Entries use a Wiktionary-only orthography based on the Cyrillic script:

А а А̄ а̄ Ӓ ӓ Ӓ̄ ӓ̄ А̊ а̊ А̊̄ а̊̄ В в Г г
И и Ӣ ӣ Й й К к Ӄ ӄ Л л Љ љ М м
Н н Ӈ ӈ О о О̄ о̄ Ӧ ӧ Ӧ̄ ӧ̄ Ө ө Ө̄ ө̄
П п Р р С с Т т Ᲊ ᲊ У у Ӯ ӯ Ӱ ӱ
Ӱ̄ ӱ̄ Х х Ц ц Ч ч Ћ ћ Ш ш Щ щ
Ә ә Ә̄ ә̄ Э э Э̄ э̄

Pronunciation

[edit]

Very few sources (if any) help with this:

Inflection

Etymology

[edit]

If the word has Uralic roots, {{R:Uralonet|}} should be used as a reference.

Words can be looked up from this list.

For Proto-Mansi reconstructions and etymologies; {{R:Aikio:2015}}.

Entries

[edit]

If you wish to add new dialects to the already existing list, you can extend these modules: Module:labels/data/lang/mns-sou

For Southern Mansi it is only Tavda so no altform.

All entries must have a label beside the header, to indicate which dialect is it from:

===Noun===
{{head|mns-sou|noun}} {{tlb|mns-sou|Tavda}}
