Proto afroasiatic is the reconstructed ancestor of Berber, Chadic, Cushitic, Egyptian, Semitic, and Omotic languages.

Inflection
[edit]It is accepted that proto-Afroasiatic had a complex inflectional system. However, no consensus exists as of yet as to how it might have looked like.
For this reason, words without their inflection are to be considered roots.
