In entries of Mopan Maya words,
- The consonants are written as: bʼ, ch, chʼ, dʼ, f, g, j, k, kʼ, l, m, n, p, pʼ, r, s, t, tʼ, tz, tzʼ, w, x, y, ʼ (glottal stop).
- The vowels are written as a, ä, aa, ää, e, ee, i, ii, o, oo, u, uu.
- Words are capitalized when they would be in English: for names of people, deities, and places.
