- Aspiration is indicated by means of an <х> after the aspirated consonant.
- The fricatives β and ɣ are written as б and г respectively
- What Klumpp analyses as "palatalised" consonants are written with a following glide й.
- Word final -ʔC clusters are written following the allophone -ʔ (< *-t) or -ʔm (< *-p).
