Wiktionary:About Ditidaht
Appearance
This page is about the Southern Nootkan language, Diitidaht, or Nitinaht as some call it.
Actually, Diitidaht does not have n or m (except for instances where the Nootkan form is used), Instead of n and m, we have d and b. The same goes for the Makah language, also a Southern Nootkan language down in Washington State.
Here is a list of the special characters needed to write in Diitidaht from the Language Geek:
- ʷ š č ƛ x̣ ł ʔ ʕ
- « » ‹ ›
Not all of them may appear correctly due to browser/font issues.
