The etymology you added does not agree with major dictionaries, or with the fact that a form of this word existed in Old English. --EncycloPetey 02:57, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
- It seems that bisig is from Persian "Bazaar". I'm not familiar with wiktionary rules, if I find some sources (academic books) which support this view, can they be considered as the source, or the etymology section should just be based on "major dictionaries"? --Wayiran 04:54, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
- Academic books or articles can be used, since major dictionaries do not always have all the information. However, I'm skeptical that a Persian word would have given rise to a word in Old English. --EncycloPetey 04:57, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
