Add topicAdding “rare” to terms containing “arse”
[edit]Where are you getting this from? It’s very common in the UK and Ireland. Theknightwho (talk) 19:29, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Think that we say "asshole" "assed" "ass" "half-ass" "half-assed" "candy-ass" "assclown" "smartass" "kiss my ass" "asswipe" "asshead" "assface" ETC. Also that is very common in UK, Ireland and Commonwealth countries. Which else is there to add a rare sense label? Sherlocks1050 (talk) 19:46, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Sherlocks1050 I'm a British English speaker who's lived in the UK most of my life, and "arse" is used more than "ass" in most situations; even among young speakers. The only time "arse" is rare is as an intensifier, so "spooky-arse" wouldn't really get used as an alternative to "spooky-ass", but that doesn't apply to any of the entries you changed; not even "smart-arse", where "arse" is being used as a noun. - @Sherlocks1050 I am becoming concerned that your level of competency in the English language is not sufficient to enable you to meaningfully contribute to English entries on Wiktionary.
- I can see this not only from your comments and edit summaries, but also from the entry content itself, such as at such a waste: "something unnecessary, wrong way or valuable not get used." This is simply unintelligible.
- If there is another language you speak more confidently than English, please consider contributing to that language, whether here on English Wiktionary, or on its native-language edition of Wiktionary. This, that and the other (talk) 09:43, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

[edit]2=Abusing multiple accounts/block evasion: long history of poor contributions, user does not seem to speak English very well at all; apparently same editor as [[User:Bango223]] 3=SurjectionPlease see Module:checkparams for help with this warning.
