transliteration

[edit]

Would you ever consider doing this in Proto-Indo-European?

[edit]

Are you capable of it? 2607:FEA8:8400:1E9D:84E1:69FB:1AC6:E67C 01:55, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

I think it's fundamentally impossible to do it the way I did. To make the Proto-Germanic version I basically used the same words, but in an earlier form. However, a lot of these words didn't exist until Proto-Germanic, so they are not reconstructable for PIE. Another, more esthetic problem is that PIE had variable accent, which destroys the alliteration. —Rua (mew) 12:32, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
