Broadly speaking, it's not good Wiki-etiquette to modify another editor's comments. For example, I don't think this edit was really appropriate; all those editors were replying to Derbeth, not to each other.
(There are multiple ways to use comment-indentation; most Wiktionarians indent their comment one level deeper than the one they're replying to. Other approaches are fine, but I don't think it's a good idea to edit other people's comments from that approach to another one; it just causes confusion, with no benefit.)
