@Atitarev Yup, if you look at the declension codes you'll see M, which indicates it's masculine. For some types of nouns, specifying a gender can change the declension (e.g. nouns in -ь and -я) but for nouns in -а it would just be used in the equivalent of {{ru-noun+}}.
