fabulate

[edit]

What source describes this as a verb? Does it actually give that etymology, because it doesn't look feasible to me. All uses I can find use this word as an adjective, and the etymology looks like it ought to come from a Latin participle, not a noun. --EncycloPetey 00:27, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

OK, then I've amended the etymology. The full version is more like what I would have expected. Skipping the intermediate steps makes it sound as though the word were constructed in English directly from the noun. --EncycloPetey 00:40, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
