*continēscō, past part *contingēscum ???

What is the evidence for such a past part? I changed it to the standard contingēscūtum, which more likely underlies Spanish, Portuguese acontecido. Benwing2 (talk) 21:06, 10 August 2019 (UTC)

Chipping again to say that I was looking at other inchoative Vulgar Latin verbs and thought that the long u in contingēscūtum would have derived as *acontecudo or *acontecodo, so I think that something like contingēscītum (with long i or it would become *acontecedo)is more accurate, what do you think?
