Hi Assem, and welcome to Wiktionary! It's great to see a new editor interested in working on our Arabic content. There's lots of work to be done with (Standard) Arabic, including audio files and quotations, and even more work to be done with Egyptian Arabic, where we still need many basic entries. @Equinox: I'm aware you're one of the most prolific editors on the project, and for that you have my respect. But I'd appreciate it more if you just tell me "how you do it" instead of merely referring to your repertoire. I guess it would've taken about the same time. Okay, thanks for smiling at my bad attitude. But: really, the fact that a word begins with a capital letter means nothing. You're making an unusual claim (this word isn't like all other nouns) so it's your business to explain why. Not mine. In many cases we see a word like "Jerqui" (I'm making it up): perhaps "a Jerqui built a camp for us", "the Jerqui are amazing people", "two Jerquis helped us to light a fire". Why is this not a common noun? Why must it be a proper noun? I would say "Jerqui" is a singular and a plural, and also there's another plural "Jerquis". Again thanks for your patience but I honestly don't see why there is any room for argument. Equinox ◑ 06:19, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Never mind, Equinox. I agree that the lettercase isn't an accurate criterion, but your analysis seems reductionist in other aspects. I guess you weren't following, but we had a discussion at the TR first about the word, which revealed that the matter is systematically disputed across WT. Then, we had an extensive meta discussion at the BP where I'd argue consensus was narrowly in favor of classifying this sense of collective demographics as proper nouns.
