Strewth
[edit]Oi! Re strewth, that wasn't a vanity reference, somebody else added it. I merely bolded the word "strewth" in the example afterwards out of pride - a totallay different deadly sin. (-: — Hippietrail 20:19, 21 August 2005 (UTC)

Please include references if you have them for this article. I only found 3 hits on google. It's likely someone will mark this for deletion. --Stranger 18:18, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
- Don't have them, and it will probably be deleted. In case it isn't, I reclassified it from adjective to noun (the only change I made) [[User:Allan|Allan] 8:30 06-09-2005 UTC.
Bots
[edit]I took the liberty of moving our conversation to the talk page of User_talk:PolyBot. It's more coherent that way. Everything stays together. We can leave a not on each other's user talk page, when we add another comment. I would also prefer to have the conversation over there, instead of on IRC. IRC is so ephemereal. It doesn't stick... - I added a few more comments. We have to be certain that what the bot will do, is seen as a need by the general population of contributors. So which is your programming language of choice and do you speak python?
- Also, do you want CVS access to work on the script? If you create a sourceforge account I can ask to have you added to the pywikipediabot project. I really need somebody to scrutinize the code for the parser, but a remark you made implies you already did that. Great. Anyway, the each class lives in its own module, so it should be possible to work together, by means of CVS. Polyglot 20:36, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Wikimedia UK Chapter
[edit]A plan is in the works to found a new UK chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation, and we are currently gathering support from the community. If you are interesting in being part of this new UK chapter as a member, a board member or as someone with a general interest in the chapter, please head over to m:Wikimedia UK v2.0 and let us know. We welcome help in making finishing touches to the plans. An election will be held shortly for the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board, which will take the chapter forward, starting to raise funds and generally supporting the Wikimedia community in the UK. Thanks for your time. AndrewRT 22:27, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
