etymology = a history of a word wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

Maybe it was "Constructed by an English-speaking American, “che sarà, sarà”" as the entry states.

But is was being used by Sir Francis Drake's decendants before the Ammerican Declaration of Independence in 1776. With that exact spelling.

Isn't that part of the history of the word?
