Hello, I am Jeff. I am a programmer and systems administrator working in various DevOps spaces.
I have been a MediaWiki user and administrator for many years, being the chief wiki evangelist in the two organizations I have work in during that span.
Key areas of interest (for Wiktionary at least) include:
- Computer terminology
- Programming, Systems Administration and DevOps terminology, as well as terminology related to those endeavors
- Curling terminology
- Model railroading (and actual railroading) terminology.
Words I'd like to see defined
[edit]legistics
[edit]- As used by the Canadian Ministry of Justice
- Also on this "Legistics: Paragraphing" page (and probably many others)
I'm tempted to say that this is simply a British form of "logistics", but have not found anything to indicate that this is actually true.
paragraphing
[edit]Is this simply a gerundization of "paragraph" to make it into a verb?
- "Legistics: Paragraphing" would lead me to believe that.
- paragraphing
Hyperconverged
[edit]- Hyperconverged infrastructure combines x86-based compute and storage resources with intelligent software to create flexible building blocks that replace legacy infrastructure consisting of separate servers, storage networks, and storage arrays.
