I didn't discover Wiktionary until late in 2009. I was thrilled to find that I could search for Finnish words without needing to know their citation forms.

By December I decided I'd like to join the project to make what contributions I can. I was going to call myself ulkomaalainen, which means "foreigner" in Finnish, but that username was already taken. Instead I settled on "from a foreign land".

I'm grateful to everyone participating in Wiktionary - what a great resource! :)
