Near-daily user of Wiktionary who has previously sporadically contributed anonymously through small additions, mostly in relation to CJKV characters. Currently learning Mandarin Chinese and in connection to that attempting to get a grasp of the writing system. As for CJKV characters, my interests are not only practical: it appears to be much easier for me to remember characters that are obscure or otherwise very different than commonly used ones. I am particularly amused by characters with multi-syllabic readings (such as 瓩 or 圕) and the fact that I am yet to meet any Chinese who have seen them before.
