Dr. Frankenstein's "monster" may well be an allegory of real life children who developed without emotional links to parents or surrogates, growing into adulthood without emotional capacity, fictionalized on StarTrek as Dr. Spock and the Robot "Data." Is there any term in modern literature to differentiate these innocents from the once innocent criminal monsters?
