I am developing an online language-learning environment that combines a Chrome extension with a Meteor web site. You can find a tutorial for an alpha version of the project here.
2016-08-10: After the next phase of the Lexogram project, users will be able to select a word in any web page, and the Wiktionary entry for that word, in the native language of their choice, will appear automatically in a separate popup window. I'm looking forward to learning more about the Wiktionary contribution process, and how to interact with Wiktionary from third-party pages.
Future versions of the Lexogram project will enable users to develop a corpus of phrases in every language, based on the word usage on the Internet pages they visit. I imagine that this will be a valuable source of illustrative sentences for Wiktionary.
