There are four warnas in India. Brahmin's, Kshtriya's,Vaishyas and Shudras. They are awarded their duties by the society as per their status in the society. Gadhia's are Kshtriyas and are belongs to one of the ancient ruller and noble cast Lohanas. Lohanas were the rullers and protectors of ancient Bharat Khand territory on North West. They were the rullers of Lohar Gadh, now Lahore in Pakistan. Their root starts from Adi Narayan(Sun), and thats why they have been called as 'Surya Putras'. Raghu the great kind king and father of Dasharath and grand father of lord Rama was born in Lohana cast and that's the reason why the Lohanas also called as Raghuvanshi. They also known as Gau Brahmin Pratipalak (Protectors of Brahmins and cows). Gadhia is a surname in Lohana community. The meaning of word Gadhia is the protectors of Gadh(Fort) or the rullers of Gadh(Fort). It is also belived that they are the childerns of Maharisi GAY. The son of Moon. The godess of Gadhia (kuldevi) is belived to be Gadhechi or Gadheshri Mata. Her tamples are found in Gadhshisha in Kutch and at Limbuda in Saurashtra (Now Gujarat). It is belived that one of the tample of Gadheshrimata is in Pakistan near Lahore.
