I'm just someone with a passion for learning languages, I have had no formal education in anything.

Languages I know

My native language is American English (particularly from the north-east).

I have taught myself to an intermediate level of Modern Israeli Hebrew. I can understand Mishnaic and Biblical Hebrew to a point, but I'm strongest at Modern Hebrew. I am approximately at level gimel, I'll update this page whenever I get a proper assessment done.

I am currently learning Aramaic to help with understanding of Gemara and Targum Onkelos. When I understand more, I would like to contribute to Wiktionary adding more entries for Aramaic words.

אהלן! אני פשוט מישהי במרשתת שאוהבת ללמוד שפות. לא מעולם למדתי שום שפה באוניברסיטה, פשוט לבד.

השפת האם שלי אנגלית אמריקאית, במיוחד מהארצות הברית הצפונית-מזרחית.

למדתי עברית לבערך רמת ג' (אעדכן את הדף הזה כשאקבל הערכה רשמית). אני גם מבינה עברית מהתורה ולשון חז"ל, אבל השפה הכי קל לי היא עברית.

כעת אני לומדת ארמית של התלמוד כדי להבין את גמרא ואת תרגום אונקלוס, וכשאבין יותר, אני רוצה להוסיף ערכים ארמיים לויקימילון האנגלי.
