[edit]From Kimbundu umbanda,[1][2][3] which António de Assis Júnior in his Kimbundu-Portuguese dictionary[4] defines as "[the] practice of magic", "witchcraft" or "healing" (p. 374). The latter is mentioned with a "kubanga-" prefix, meaning "to do" (p. 164).
