[edit]From Latin Theudemiri,[1] genitive of Theudemirus, from a Suevic and Gothic personal name (cf. Theodemir), from a compound *Þeudōmēraz, from Proto-Germanic *þeudō (“nation”) and *mēraz (“great, famous”).[2]
