[edit]From Latin Tructesindi, genitive of Tructesindus,[1] from a Suevic and/or Gothic personal name, from a compound *Druhtesinþaz, from Proto-Germanic *druhtiz (“troop”) and *sinþaz (“journey; companion”).[2]
