[edit]Borrowed from Biblical Hebrew תוהו ובוהו (tōhū wā-ḇōhū) in Genesis 1:2, from תֹהוּ (tōhū, “formlessness, nothingness”) + בֹּהוּ (bōhū, “voidness, desolation”).
