Wrong past tenses

[edit]

I'm not certain, but shouldn't the past tense and past participle suffixes be -it instead of -t? It seems to me that the former is more often encountered than the latter. Duncan MacCall 04:14, 14 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Maybe it should, but if anyone changes the template, all of the entries already using it will need to be "fixed" too.--Williamsayers79 11:48, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I see. Haven't occcured to me. As there are at the moment only 125 items at Category:Scots verbs, I'd even check them one-by-one myself, but with my level of Scots I don't want to run the risk of doing more harm than good. Nevertheless, thanks for answering anyway. Duncan MacCall 03:31, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
This template is not working properly for sairch. It shows "sairchs" when it should be "sairchis"; "saircht" when it should be "sairchit". Leasnam (talk) 19:28, 2 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I just noticed this problem too, at dawt, where the template produced "dawtt" instead of dawtit. I'll leave the template maker to fix that entry when they can. Equinox 19:53, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
