Stress pattern convention?
[edit]What is the stress pattern numbering convention? It appears to be that of Ambraška & Žuigžda; is this a globally agreed-upon standard? Linas (talk) 04:39, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- On further examination, I am confused. There are 5? 12? declensions (daiktavardžių linksniuotės), each of which has four "stress patterns" (kirčiuotės). It seems strange to me to see that the stress pattern is identified, but the declension pattern is not. Why not? Is it because there is no clear agreement on numbering? So Ambraška & Žuigžda list five declensions, as does Dabartinės lietuvių kalbos žodynas, lumping a bunch of them together. The Lithuanian wiktionary lists twelve. Confusing ...
- I would also like to see this template automatically put entries into categories, based on declension pattern and stress pattern -- I'm interested in getting lists of all nouns of a given pattern (for work on an open source natural language parser, [[http::/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Link_grammar Link Grammar]. Genitive
[edit]As per w:Lithuanian grammar “declension paradigms […] are defined by the inflection in singular nominative and genitive cases”, just as in Latin. Shall we change the second parameter for that? — Ivadon (talk) 14:08, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- I think it would have been good if we had included that at the start, but going through and adding genitive for every noun might be tedious now. 70.175.192.217 14:02, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
Show diminutive forms in headword line
[edit]Could we add a parameter to specify the diminutive straight in the headword line, similar to Brot or נאָדל (nodl), just like how we already show the m/f equivalents at studentas / studentė? Helrasincke (talk) 09:28, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
