New parameters

I would like to add parameters for principal parts, per my comment at WT:AK. Something like this, perhaps, using hada, hae, and hani:

I like the forms you're adding and parameter names. Just not sure about the English descriptions for them. Along with {{ko-conj-verb}}, this should make our Korean verb entries quite usable. Rod (A. Smith) 06:49, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm not real happy with the English descriptions either. "Dictionary form" could be "infinitive," although people have very different ideas about what "infinitive" should mean when applied to Korean. "Polite stem" is the term I picked up from Teach Yourself Korean, a truly execrable work which was my first and last English-language textbook of Korean; I've continued using the term only because I haven't been able to find a better. Perhaps "informal stem" would be closer to the mark? "Interrogative" is of course ambiguous, there are tens (hundreds?) of interrogative forms in Korean; even "plain interrogative" does not distinguish it adequately from 하느냐. Hmmm... we could of course do an end-run around the problem by calling them the hada, hae, and hani forms, but I'm sure this would eventually be met with scorn and outrage by the wider community. -- Visviva 16:25, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
