Latin Script

[edit]

An option for Latin script should be added as the template can be used on Arabic-based words, for instant آبادی. Taimoorahmed11 (talk) 22:12, 15 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@AryamanA may be interested. I would guess that it's better to have the Arabic-script entries be soft redirects to the Latin-script ones. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 03:14, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Taimoorahmed11, Metaknowledge I made the changes to the template. It still has ways to improve though. For now, enter {{kls-noun|la=}} if the headword is in Arabic & you want to show it in Latin. And {{kls-noun|ar=}} vice versa. -- Bhagadatta (talk) 04:05, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
User:Bhagadatta - Thank you that seems to work properly now. Taimoorahmed11 (talk) 16:26, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Bhagadatta, Taimoorahmed11: Thanks for doing that! In the backend, I've added Latn (Latin) and ks-Arab (Perso-Arabic) scripts for Kalasha so the fonts should render better too. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 22:43, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
@AryamanA: Cool, thanks! Why do the Arabic script entries (like بيِهيِک) now ask for transliteration? I don't remember seeing the "transliteration needed" remark before. I think it'd be somewhat redundant to have a transliteration and a link to the Latin script entry. -- Bhagadatta (talk) 01:08, 18 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
