Transliteration modules?

Since seeing the new way of handling the transliteration of Russian words without using 'tr=', sill the same apply for {{ka-noun}}? Just a suggestion that I'm ging and that I think needs clarification. --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 04:53, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

WOW! The idea is great. I always thought that kind of stuff would simplify a great part of our work.

So, I guess we can apply the same functionality to other templates too? For example we could make an IPA generator? Where can I read more about invocations? --user:Dixtosa 20:03, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

@Dixtosa. An example invocation is at Module_talk:ka-translit. It's already used by {{t}} et al. for Georgian translations lacking transliteration. Of course you can use for other types of speech. I modelled it on Russian where manual transliteration takes precedence. For a few languages word stress and exceptions are important. Georgian, Armenian, Kazakh, etc., where there's more letter to sound correspondence can work with autotranslit. I still think that the manual translit should be provided because modules are not used for everything. Plural nouns?

So how should we use it on pages of plural nouns, e.g. კრებულები? {{ka-noun|-}} gives "კრებულები • (ḳrebulebi) (uncountable)". But it's not uncountable, it's plural...

Had to resort to {{head|ka|noun form}}, which doesn't produce any additional labels. Gradilion (talk) 09:54, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
