Wrong transliteration in stem and past forms

[edit]

This template in page そう:

{{ja-verb-suru|tr=intransitive}}

produces this output:

そうする ( suruintransitive suru (stem そう (shi), past そうした (shita))

Notice that it adds additional suru to the transliterations, while it should be sō shi for そうし and sō shita for そうした. TheChilliPL (talk) 14:11, 6 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

+1 The error also appears on page うんこ, but on most pages doesn't seem to occur. Template ja-pos used on page そう also has a very similar problem, it produces "-sō na na" and "-sō ni ni". Tajoshu (talk) 19:48, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
From what I can tell, this issue is present on ALL suru verbs that contain only kana, no kanji. And as you say, it's apparently on other parts of speech too? It occurs with both ja-pos and ja-adj on kana-only na inflections, so this issue seems to span multiple templates. Big Sprinkler (talk) 16:38, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
