Historical accent
[edit]@Kiotoskaya: Can you please modify Heian, Kamakura, Muromachi, and Edo period accents in Nikkoku to include the appropriate titling? Thanks! Chuterix (talk) 21:21, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- Since Nikkoku does not contain information on the pronunciation at that time, it is inappropriate to use this template. Instead, I propose creating a template like the following:
Historical evolution of the Kyoto pitch accent
- (the Heian period) L ‧ L
- (the Kamakura period) L ‧ L
- (the Muromachi period) H ‧ L
- (the Edo period) H ‧ L
※ H for high and flat syllables (◌́), L for low and flat syllables (◌̀), D for high-to-low syllables (◌̂), U for low-to-high syllables (◌̌).

- @Kiotoskaya: The convention of high-low is to use F (falling), and low-high is R (rising), but this proposal is good. Chuterix (talk) 12:56, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Chuterix Thanks for your correction. I created Template:ja-accent-historical. Kiotoskaya (talk) 11:47, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
