Usage

[edit]

This template is designed for use with those Hungarian regular verbs that have the following characteristics:

  • The lemma ends in ít (e.g. tanít - teach).
  • The first-person singular is created by adding ok to the lemma (e.g. tanítok - I teach).
  • The infinitive is created by adding ani (tanítani - to give) as opposed to ni.

The template should be placed immediately following the ====Conjugation==== header below the English definition of the verb. It provides the full conjugation table in closed format. The table can be opened by clicking the show link.

Parameters

[edit]

The template takes two parameters:

{{{1}}} = lemma

{{{2}}} = the past participle suffix for these types of verbs; the default is ott

Examples

[edit]

Lemma = tanít (teach), past participle = tanított:

====Conjugation====
{{hu-conj-ok-ít|tanít}}

Please note: if the past participle suffix is the default ott, it does not have to be added to the template call.
