Usage notes

[edit]

This paradigm applies to Faroese masculine nouns as stakkur (stack), which are similar to Template:fo-decl-noun-m6 but with two special features:

  • double consonant at the end of the stem, which simplifies in genitive sg.
  • umlaut in dative pl with an alternating form
  1. st (first part of the stem)
  2. a (stem vowel)
  3. k (last consonant of the stem, doubled except in gen. sg.)
  4. ø (alterning vowel in dat. pl.)
{{fo-decl-noun-m10|st|a|k|ø}}

gives:
